Gold

Gold is famous about it being pretty and being bendable to being bendable into ring and stuff.One lucky man fell off his horse and found a-lot of gold.Some Alchemist try to make gold by making powder out of rocks and mix it with stuff but fail.Wend they discoverer America they sent away their gold away and pirates stole away the gold. 

River of Jewels and the Bull's-eye

Maybe it happened this way:One night on a inland some sailors came ashore on a sandy beach. They went there to cook and their ship was caring blocks of soda ash. Soda ash is used to make soap.They brought some soda ash blocks ashore to make a  fireplace. Then suddenly with no warning a sailor jumped and shouted "a river of Jewels!" When it cooled down it was Glass.

Now today people that make glass are called glassblower and they make bottles and glasses.Later they make flat sheet and cut it.But people don't like the looks of broken off parts they are called Bulls Eye.They stamp a picture of the kings crown over the Bull's-eye to hide them.This glass is called crown glass.

The World

Something as big as a Continent you might say well there is not many things that are as or bigger than a Continent.The Sun and Moon are Bigger.Continent are very very Big islands.The Continents of  Asia and Europe are attached to each other. These two continents together are sometimes called Eurasia.The continent to Eurasia is Africa.The two  Continents are attached to each other by the Isthmus of Suez.Far across the Atlantic oceans are two other Continent - North america & South America.They are joined by the Isthmus of Panama.The continent of Antarctica is all by itself way down at the South Pole. The smallest continent - Australia - lies in the biggest ocean, the Pacific.

Paul Gauguin

Paul Gauguin was a famous French painter before he became artist he made a lot of money but he cared about painting not money.And he lived in Tahiti but he could not't paint it exactly ,so he paint it differently with large splashes of colors. Today nobody laugh's at his paintings anymore we think as him a man full of imagination.

Did you ever see a truck eat something? Well, that thing is your garbage. The garbage man puts it into the garbage truck. It squeezes the garbage up so that it can carry as  much as it can.         Garbage is made up of things that we can't eat or use, such as empty containers, fruit and vegetables skin, eggshells, coffee grounds, and old papers. The garbage truck collect the garbage and take it outside of town to a dump. Some cities have special furnaces to burn the garbage. It burns everything but the metal. The metal is recycled.
